Education, Fellowship and Networking

This year’s Florida Ag Expo promises to be the best yet as the vegetable and specialty crop industry gathers for a day of education, fellowship and networking.

The event will kick off with breakfast at the trade show, where growers can grab coffee and a breakfast sandwich while they visit exhibitors.

After breakfast, the seminar program begins with presentations from leading experts in artificial intelligence (AI). The speakers will dive deep into the world of technology and how AI will change the future of farming.

In the afternoon, growers will choose between two different breakout sessions — one focusing on pest and disease management and the other on best management practices.

Following the breakout sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to go on a field tour where they can see University of Florida research projects firsthand. At the end of the tour, growers will have the chance to sample beer in the hop field. The beer, provided by Swan Brewing, is brewed with Florida-grown hops produced at the Gulf Coast Research and Education Center (GCREC).

Florida Ag Expo will take place on Nov. 18 at the GCREC in Wimauma. Growers will not want to miss this event, so don’t wait. To preregister, click here or call 352-671-1909. All preregistered growers will automatically be entered for a chance to win a John Deere gun safe donated by Everglades Equipment Group.

Exhibit space is still available. If you would like to reserve a booth at the Florida Ag Expo, please complete a registration form.
