FSGA Looking Forward to Florida Ag Expo

Planning for the Florida Ag Expo is well underway, and anticipation is rising among many, including Florida’s strawberry growers. Tiffany Dale, director of member services and community relations for the Florida Strawberry Growers Association (FSGA), says she is excited for AgNet Media to take over this year’s event and give it a fresh, new feel.

As a major donor of the Gulf Coast Research and Education Center (GCREC), FSGA’s membership will be able to tour and see firsthand all the amazing work being done at the facility to improve the strawberry industry.

“Being present at the center, rather than having the researchers come to them, really shows growers the tools they have in place, and the science and technology being used to diagnose and assist with the issues growers are facing,” Dale says. “I got to take a group of high school students to the GCREC over the summer, and my mind was blown. I think we often take for granted what all the center is doing for the industry, until you’re there talking, listening and being present at the center. Being able to witness the level of expertise going on down there is always refreshing.”

Florida Ag Expo will take place on Nov. 21 at the GCREC in Wimauma. Growers will not want to miss this event, so don’t wait. To preregister, click here or call 352-671-1909. All preregistered growers will automatically be entered for a chance to win a John Deere gun safe donated by Everglades Equipment Group.

Exhibit space is still available. If you would like to reserve a booth at the Florida Ag Expo, please complete a registration form.
